Retirement Income Planning
Most People Think About How Much They've Saved for Retirement. Fewer Think About Where.
Here is what I tell folks: it is not just the number in your account that determines how your retirement goes. It is the structure around that number.
Where is your money sitting right now? In a 401(k) or IRA? That means every dollar you pull out in retirement is taxable income. Add Medicare premiums, Social Security, and the tax brackets move in a way most people do not see coming.
My job is to help you take a look at not only how much you have saved, but where you have saved it, and whether that structure actually serves you when you stop working.
This is the starting point. Think of it as the full retirement blueprint.

A Retirement That Works Has Three Things in Place
In my seminars, I talk about this the same way every time. There are three things you need to have sorted before retirement actually works.
Healthcare Coverage
This one most folks think about. Medicare. Which plan. What it covers. What it does not. But here is what most folks miss: your Medicare decisions are retirement income decisions. The plan you pick affects your monthly budget for the rest of your life, and if your income is structured a certain way, your Medicare premiums can go up. We help you get Medicare right and make sure it fits the rest of your picture.

Explore Medicare→Retirement Income Planning
The single biggest fear I hear from folks is running out of money. And it is a real fear. Most people have not done the math on how long their savings actually need to last. Fixed indexed annuities are one of the tools we look at here. Not for everyone. But for the right person, they provide a paycheck for life that does not depend on the market.

Guaranteed lifetime income→Protection and Tax-Free Income
Most of your savings are probably in a 401(k) or IRA, where every dollar you withdraw in retirement is taxed. Two tools can create income the IRS does not touch: a Roth conversion, which moves money into an account that grows and comes out tax-free, and a properly structured IUL, which builds cash value you can access tax-free. Neither fits everyone, but together they are worth a look.

Why These Three Things Have to Work Together
Here is the thing about retirement planning: you can make the right decision about Medicare, the right decision about your savings, and still end up in a rough spot if those decisions do not account for each other.
Your Medicare premiums depend on your income. Your income depends on where you pull from. Where you pull from depends on your tax structure. Your tax structure depends on what kind of accounts you have and how they are set up.
That is not a puzzle most people see until they are already in it. What I do is help you see it before that happens. Not because I have a crystal ball, but because I have sat with a lot of folks who did not see it coming, and I know what to look for.
